Interpreting
We
provide specialist professionals for legal, police and court interpreting
assignments for Polish and English.
Our interpreters hold the Diploma in Public Service
Interpreting (legal option) from the Institute of Linguists. They are able to
handle assignments involving the following types of interpreting:
Consecutive Interpreting
The interpreter
interprets either sentence by sentence or when the speaker reaches a natural
break. The interpreter works interpreting as the conversation takes place. This
is often used for business meetings or in legal settings.
Simultaneous
Interpreting
This is usually for smaller meetings, where the client does not
share the same language as his/her colleagues. The interpreter continuously
interprets in a lowered voice sitting to one side of the client.
Ad Hoc Interpreting
Ad
Hoc interpreting is similar to consecutive
interpreting except less formal.
Liaison interpreting
This is used for
interpreting over a longer period of time, often throughout the day not only in
business situations but also in less formal settings frequently touching on and
explaining cultural references.
When interpreting, we value a
professional approach. Confidentiality and impartiality are our two main priorities.
Fees vary according
to the nature of the assignment and range from £250 to £350 per day plus
expenses. Please contact us and we will be pleased to provide you with a free
quote.
